Good morning everyone!!! This is Fr. Kirby Rust. I am the new youth minister for Saint James and I am excited to be serving the parish in this role. I know summer is passing quickly, but I wanted to make sure everyone knew that our first get together is July 31st with a trip to Holiday World! We will leave immediately after the 8am Mass and not return until about 11pm. Permission forms must be completed before departure, so please come to the office to pick one up. The cost is $35/person. This event is open for 9-12th graders. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. I’m excited to meet you all so we can pray, learn, and have fun together! Peace, Fr. Kirby.

Happy Monday! Be imitators of God, as beloved children, and live in love! Weekly Update: In need of service hours: 1) Come help this Thursday at the All Saints Party after the 6:30 pm mass in Bacheldor Hall. RSVP to Andrew if you are coming! 2) This Saturday is the Cemetery of Innocents. We need help setting up 2000 crosses in memorial of the number of children lost due to abortion in our country! 10 AM on the Godfrey Property. Message me for more details. Upcoming Events: 1) This Sunday is the Youth Rally for Life from 5-7:30 pm at the Nolin RECC Community room on Ring Road. We will have dinner and a national Pro-life speaker. Attendance is FREE. RSVP to Andrew 2) Next Friday (November 9th) is our Ladies Lasertag Night in Louisville. RSVP to Andrew before this FRIDAY. We will leave from the Church at 5 pm and arrive back at 9 pm. Cost is $20. 1) Don't forget! Next Thursday is a Holy Day of Obligation and Saint James is having an All Saints Day Party after the 6:30 pm mass. We have been assigned 3 carnival style games to run. RSVP to Andrew if you can help. And if you really want you can dress up as your favorite Saint! 2) Youth Rally for Life is coming to Etown! The rally will be Sunday November 4 from 5-7:30 pm at the Nolin RECC community meeting room. The Speaker this year is Mike Spencer and dinner will be provided https://www.prolifemike.com . This is a great chance to put your faith in action and support life!

At the parish, we will be praying for all those affected by abuse around the world. Join us in prayer at school by fasting from sweets or meat this Friday! May your week be filled with Joy!
